Long term stays
Designed for resident who need daily, twenty-four hour support services and amenities. With all our stays, there is No Buy-in, No Community Fees and No Admission processing fees. Payment is billed at a daily rate and is due monthly. Cost is determined by the level of assistance and care required and the accommodations chosen.
Short-term , Respite and Vacation Stays
Sacred Heart Senior Living offers short-term stays for seniors who need care when family members travel out of town or need a break from care giving.
Trial Stay
You can also use a short term stay as a test drive. Many of our residents originally tried Sacred Heart Senior Living by staying as a short term guest. You’ll meet our staff and other residents, experience our activities, taste our chef’s creations and appreciate knowing that help is at hand. You might just decide that your new friends and comfortable apartment feel like home.
Rehabilitation and Hospital Discharge Stays
The Rehabilitation short term stay is an excellent option for seniors who may have been recently discharged from the hospital, rehabilitation unit or nursing home but are not yet ready for the move back home. A comprehensive support plan will be developed by you, your family and our interdisciplinary team based on your physician’s orders, your needs and current diagnosis. We can provide transportation for follow-up physician visits, escorts, medication assistance, laboratory monitoring and daily assistance. The availability of everything that you will need to recover and return home. We will coordinate the discharge, addressing all optional support services that may be required. A home evaluation, prior to discharge, is also available at no cost to the resident.

Therapy Services
Good Shepherd Outpatient Rehabilitation at Sacred Heart Senior Living offers a friendly, convenient setting with the same high quality of care that has earned Good Shepherd a national reputation as a leader in rehabilitation. Located on site at both communities for your convenience. Offering traditional as well as specialized therapy initiatives for many diagnosis, including: Arthritis, joint replacement, neurological disorders, pain management, sprains/ strains, deconditioning, vertigo/ vestibular conditions and more.
Physical Therapy
The goal of Physical Therapy is to maximize function and independence. Through careful evaluation and planning, individual programs are developed which include:
- Balance retraining
- Therapeutic exercise for lower extremities
- Falls prevention
- Functional mobility to include gait and balance
- Walker and wheelchair safety
- Treatments to increase strengthening
- Wound care assistance to nursing
- Modalities to address pain, edema, and range of motion needs
- Assistive devices to increase independence and function
- Walk to dine
- Wheelchair positioning
Occupational Therapy
The Occupational Therapy program focuses on maximizing independence in functional daily living skills. Treatment begins with an evaluation, and then individual goals and needs are considered when establishing treatment programs:
- ADL retraining for independence and safety
- Seating recommendations
- Edema Control for the upper extremities
- Gross and fine motor muscular re-education
- Therapeutic exercise for upper extremities
- Splinting and orthotic assessment
- Cognitive and perceptual retraining
- Continence improvement
- Adaptive equipment recommendations and training
Speech/ Language Pathology
The Speech Therapy program focuses on maximizing communication and swallowing skills through individualized programs:
- Dysphasia evaluation and treatment
- Rehab Dining
